What’s interesting is that I had to halt a little bit. I mean I had to really ask myself that question!! Am proud of being an Arab?
Tell you the truth, I haven’t really thought about it before, as my motto is that I’m proud of who I am and what I am regardless of the labels. So back to your question, am I proud? I should be and this answer makes sense and backed up with history but honestly this is the logical answer not the one that I feel. I don’t walk around preaching about our great history and instinctively feel proud of being an Arab, I am when I think about it, but the thing is, do I care or bother to think that way? I don't.
it doesn't have to be a 20 lines argument to discus somthing menteheen menna!
allah send Qur'an in Arabic! our religion talks in Arabic! Muhammed (pbuh) speaks Arabic! and it's not a language issue nooo!

if this is not enough for u then that's a problem.
touche: i can understand your answer espesially now that we have become an individualistic society rather than a collective one, one carries more weight and pride of his own acomplishemets rather than of those around him
soul dear chill out !! i meant nothing offencive with what i said and i appreciate you answer :* can u ever forgive me :P
There are always "elements" which go into being anything. Be it being an Arab or be it being an American.
We are like compounds made of loads of elements we acquire.
Unless we dont contribute to the elements pool, we cant be proud of them.
Now, what did i contribute to the elements which make ARAB Compound.
Being born into a particular culture doesnt make me proud of it, unless I contribute to it, even if my contribution is infinitesimal towards positive side of being an Arab.
=====
Coming to the crux, I am NOT proud of being an Arab because i did not contribute anything worthy to Arab culture, society, traditions, life, politics, religion, or development.
